اختصارات ابزاردقیق در نقشه‌های P&ID

معمولاً کوته‌نوشت یا مخفف ابزاردقیق و ابزارهای فرآیندی از دو بخش تشکیل شده است. حرف اول بیانگر فرآیند یا پروسس است. حرف دوم یا دو حرف بعدی عملکرد را نشان می‌دهد. گاهی از حرف سوم برای نشان دادن متغیرهای اندازه‌گیری شده اضافی استفاده می‌شود. این حروف فرآیند ابزار دقیق را مشخص می‌کنند.
